Season To Give - Contest Tapestry

Macderine Ovia (9 years old) is her name

This is my story for the above contest;

My best & precious gift ever

When I was going back home a month after me celebrating my 23 years old birthday (I was on my semester break), I received this nicely wrapped birthday gift from my lovely niece. She was only six years old at time. She hugs me once I entered home and wish me happy birthday. I was like "erk.." because its already a month after my birthday so I didnt expect anything on that day. She gave me the gift and me of course eagerly unwrapped the gift in front of her. She looks so excited. Ta..da... Its Snoopy the Dog. I was so happy and nearly cried when my sister (her mother) said that she personally pick that Snoop when they went out to the town and said "I want aunty have this Snoopy for her birthday" to her mother.

The fact that nobody mention about my birthday to her and yet she knows about it, is still a mystery to me. In fact she asked her mother to buy a birthday cakes for me. I say cakes because once I cancelled my plan going back home at the last minute without knowing that she plan a surprise bithday party for me which she already have the cake and the 2nd birthday cake is when i having it on the day I received that precious gift from her. Did I mention that she personally wrapped the gift by herself and even pick the cakes too. No wonder my sister called me up many times to reconfirmed on my semester break and the date I plan going home. I really enjoyed my belated 23rd birthday celebration.

That's the story that really happened to me. I will post the picture of the Snoopy soon together with her.

Cocktail Dress

From the scrap book
The finishing result

I saw this nice cocktail dress from one of the magazine that I bought few months ago fall in love with it at no time. Thus, I cut out the pages and keep it nicely as my fashion scrap book. In this fashion scrap book of mine, I would browse through any magazine and pick any fashion that I love to own. As you can see from the 1st picture feature above, that is one of many pages that I have in my scrap book of fashion. And the 2nd pages featured the finishing result of my cocktail dress in which I imitated from the scrap book. I didnt find any suitable place at home for me to take the picture nicely. So sorry for the bad presentation. I just wish that my friends are here so that they can take picture of me wearing the cocktail dress.
Talking about my scrap book of fashion, I started to do this about two months ago when I was looking around for my christmas dresses. Then I remember that I have lots of magazine that I need to let go at home. Thinking of all the gorgeous dresses and fashion in it, I decided to do the scrap book. Now, it has become my learning tool for me to learn on how to sew as I did not attend any formal classes for that matter. Sometimes, if I have any question about it, I will just give my sister a call as she did attend such classes many years ago. So, now I really save a lot of money instead of spending at least minimum of RM150 for a dress. With the same amount of money I actually canhave two different dresses if I sew it myself.
Now my cocktail dress are done, soon will be another one which is not yet done.

My love story with mobile phones

When it comes to gadgets, I adore 3G mobile phone ever since they were available in the market. My first mobile phone was Siemens C56 with minimal function as I was only use it for texting and call purposes. I bought it with my elaun from my brother (thanks bro...) with only RM400 during my first year at university. Then, after two years I bought a new one, Nokia 2610 that able to receive multimedia messages.
Later, after I have work and it was already in the trend of having a 3G phone. I was then like to have my own 3G phone, so I bought my first 3G phone that is Nokia N70. I was satisfied with the phone and have used it for almost a year until one night I accidentaly slept on it and damaging the screen. I had to send it for a repair and luckly it is still under warranty. Considering that I will not have any mobile phone for more than a month, I bought Nokia N73 Music Edition. It became my new love. In between, my young brother lost his phone by pick pocket when he was on his way to work. Pity on him, I bought him a Sony Ericsson Z610i. I bought this one because I always wanted to have a flip phone. For me flip phone has a sophisticated character that engagedto the user as well. After a while, I have 3 mobile phone with me, that is the N70, N73 and Z610i (my brother brought his own Nokia Navigation half year later). The N70 I gave it to my niece after she dragging her mother to buy her a camera phone. She was only 13 years old.
Now, I found my new love on latest 3G mobile phone that is the new launch Sony Ericsson Xperia X1 Qwerty.Everything that I want for a 3G mobile phone. While I was searching for more info on this Xperia, I found out about Nokia N97 Touchscreen Qwerty Slider which is not yet launch in the market. Will tell more about each in my next post.

I went to Carl's Junior that situated at Pavilion, KL. For the 1st time I see a very big burger in my life for real(dah la macam jakun je bila masuk dlm pavilion..hehehehe). I have never eat Carl's Junior burger before. I thought the biggest burger would be Burger King but then Carl's Junior prove me wrong. I ordered their Famous Star with cheese which is superb delicious and big as well. You can see in the picture that even my single hand looks small compared with the burger itself.
